Kuwait- KPC seeks more active role in economic reactivation

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the state-owned entity responsible for Kuwait's hydrocarbon interests throughout the world, is eager to reactivate its role in promoting and revitalizing Kuwait's national economy, said KPC Deputy Chairman and CEO Nizar Al-Adsani



The KPC is also interested in contributing to a successful development plan and strategy, Al-Adsani said in a news statement on Saturday on the occasion of the 2nd Gulf Petroleum Forum due to be organized by IG Events in April



It is also keen on sponsoring and developing fruitful scientific research and is in the process of creating an international oil research center, he added



The KPC attaches much significance to petrochemical industry inside and outside Kuwait in a manner that could ensure integration with refining industry, thus leading up to added value and maximum economic utilization, he remarked



This orientation is a core component of the KPC's current strategy targeting cooperation with international partners in this realm, the KPC Deputy Chairman and CEO pointed out



The KPC's involvement in the sponsorship of the 2nd Gulf Petroleum Forum is part of its plan to capitalize on such significant forums and events with a view to notching up its goals in the oil sector, Al-Adsani added
