(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Housing has stated that as many as 71,996 real estate transactions worth RO718.14mn resulted in collection of RO20.52mn as fees from across the sultanate in 2013.
In a statement, the ministry stated the Muscat governorate saw 14,219 transactions worth more than RO536.68mn and the collected fees amounted to more than RO15mn.
In Muscat governorate, the wilayat of Bausher saw 1,858 transactions valued more than RO251.47mn while the wilayat of Seeb saw 5,432 transactions worth more than RO186.2mn.
This was followed by South Batinah governorate where 9,946 transactions worth RO40.13mn resulted in collection of RO1.19mn as fees.
In Dhofar governorate, 5,453 transactions worth more than RO31.58mn resulted in collection of more than RO947,000 as fees while North Batinah saw 12,184 transactions worth more than RO302.02mn which resulted in collection of RO905,000 as fees.
In Dakhliyah governorate, 7,940 transactions valued more than RO27.49mn saw collection of RO824,000 as fees.
Meanwhile, the governorate of North Sharqiyah saw 5,835 transactions worth more than RO13.927mn resulting in collection of RO417,000 as fees while South Sharqiyah saw 5,257 deals worth more than RO12.76mn resulting in the collection of RO382,670 as fees.
Moreover, Dhahirah governorate saw 6,306 deals valued more than RO12.25mn resulting in collection of RO367,000 as fees while Buraimi governorate witnessed 3,251 transactions valued more than RO8.94mn resulting in collection of RO268,000 as fees.
In Al Wusta governorate, 1,152 transactions valued more than RO2mn resulted in collection of RO62,000 as fees while Musandam governorate saw 453 transactions valued more than RO2mn which resulted in collection of RO57,000 as fees.
