(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Afghan security forces gunned down Saturday three of the five Taliban fighters that have attacked the headquarters of the election committee earlier today. A statement released today by the Afghani Ministry of Interior added that the remaining two were hiding at a private building close to the election commission's headquarters. The statement added that the Afghani forces were preparing to engage with the two. The five gunmen attacked the headquarters of the main Afghan election commission earlier today, one week ahead of the presidential election. The attackers were carrying machine guns, rocket launchers and suicide vests. There was no word on the casualties or damages.
