(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Qatar Airways won Best Premium Service Facilities at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2014, held this week in Barcelona, Spain.



This is the fourth consecutive year that the Qatar Airways Premium Terminal has taken home the prestigious awar



Passengers from over 100 different countries completed 12 million questionnaires, which covered more than 385 airports and 400 airport hotels worldwide, over a nine-month period. More than 50 World Airport Awards were presented to winners over the course of the evenin



The award was accepted on behalf of the airline by Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Marwan Koleilat. Koleilat said: "We are very proud to have won this award for the fourth consecutive yea

The awards ceremony, which was held at Fira Barcelona, brought together airport CEOs and management, as well as selected airport hotel



Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operations, to the point where it now flies a modern fleet of 129 aircraft to 136 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas. Over the next few months, the network will grow further with Philadelphia, USA (April 2, 2014), Larnaca, Cyprus (April 29), Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport, Turkey (May 22, 2014), Edinburgh, Scotland (May 28, 2014), Miami, USA (June 10, 2014), Haneda, Japan (June 18, 2014) and Dallas/Fort Worth, USA (July 1, 2014)
