Kuwait Oil Company Dismisses Gas Leak Reports
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has denied online reports claiming that a gas leakage took place at one of its oil facilities.
"Reports on a toxic gas leakage are ungrounded and divorced from reality," the KOC said in a news release carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday.
KOC is a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the state-owned entity responsible for Kuwait's hydrocarbon interests throughout the world.
The KOC, therefore, urged mass media to seek reliable sources and to contact the company before the publication of such news reports in order to fend off relevant negative effects.
It also underlined keenness to take all necessary precautionary measures so as to ensure the safety of its facilities and staff
