Egypt Stock Exchange loses EGP three bln


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Egyptian Stock Exchange had lost about EGP three billion in this week's trading, where the market capitalization for companies listed in the Egyptian Stock Exchange reached EGP 487,4 billion, compared to EGP 490,4 billion in last week's trading



The Egyptian Stock Exchange's weekly report said on Friday that the benchmark EGX30 index dropped 2,45 percent reaching 8,252 points, the EGX70 index for small and medium shares dropped 1,03 percent reaching 627 points, the EGX100 dropped 0,93 percent reaching 1094 points, and the EGX20 dropped 2, 35 percent reaching 9942 points



The report also showed that the traded value had dropped to reach EGP 6,4 billion, the traded volume was estimated at 1437 million shares traded in 218, 000 transactions, compared to a traded value of EGP 7,8 billion and a traded volume of 1,786 million shares traded in 211,00 transactions in the previous week
