Qatari Delegation Discusses Bilateral Trade Cooperation with India


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) India and Qatar have held detailed discussions on bilateral trade cooperation in a number of areas between the two countries, India's ministry of finance stated Wednesday. The ministry said a 18-member high-level official delegation led by Qatar's Undersecretary in the Ministry of Economy and Commerce Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater held a two-day visit to India on March 25 and March 26 during which both countries had productive discussions in the framework of multi-dimensional and growing cooperation between India and Qatar. The Indian delegation at the official discussions with the Qatari delegation was led by Dr. Arvind Mayaram, a key Indian official representing India's ministry of finance, the ministry added. "Both sides discussed issues and proposals of mutual interest in a number of sectors including investment, banking and finance, energy, petrochemicals and fertilizers, civil aviation and tourism," the ministry stated. India and Qatar shared the view that there is a vast potential to further strengthen cooperation in these sectors. The ministry informed that besides delegation-level talks, bilateral meetings between counterparts from the two sides were also held.
