Russia to Welcome Foreign Investors in Crimea and Sevastopol


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Russia will welcome foreign investors in Crimea and Sevastopol, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told Rossiya 24 television on Wednesday.



"We should create favourable conditions for all. We will welcome any investors, including foreign ones," he said, adding that seaports, hydrocarbon production and tourism cold be attractive sectors for investmen



Crimea and Sevastopol will be fully integrated into Russian legislation from January 201



They will also get subsidies on the same terms as other Russian regions do, he said, reported Itar-Tass news agenc



He noted that financial support to Crimea would not require cuts in other budget expenditure



The banking system in Crimea and Sevastopol will initially be formed by local bank



"As the banking sector develops, banks operating in Russia and our key lending institutions will move there," the minister sai



"Roubles have been put into the system and settlements are made in roubles along with hryvnia



We will now open rouble accounts for business entities," Siluanov said.
