Ministry of Information and Communications Technology and Microsoft Jordan Launch Enterprise Project Management Platform

(MENAFNEditorial) The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology and Microsoft Jordan have co-launched an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) platform that enables government entities across the Kingdom to effectively manage and measure the performance of sectorial projects and strategic initiatives.

The EMP platform provides relevant ministry departments with an effective tool to centrally manage and monitor the progress of national projects and initiatives within various sectors, subsequently enhancing efficiency, productivity and project governance.

Currently in its pilot phase, the EPM platform is fully funded by Microsoft Jordan as part of its strategic partnership with the Government. In addition to installing the platform at several government entities, Microsoft Jordan also trained employees on how to use the platform in collaboration with Para Solutions. This initiative falls under Microsoft Jordan's ongoing support for the Government, whereby the Company organizes nationwide programs designed to enhance the effectiveness of different government entities' activities. The initiative also reflects Microsoft Jordan's commitment to promoting development in the Kingdom's different sectors.

Commenting on this step, H.E. Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Dr. Azzam Sleit, stated, "Launching the EPM platform in partnership with Microsoft Jordan brings us one step closer to our goal of bolstering performance levels within government entities and organizations. This accomplishment is also closely aligned with our efforts to advance the e-government program which will significantly enhance both internal and external performance standards.

"We are pleased to be part of a project that facilitates the daily operations of ministries and companies, as well as enables the Government to manage its projects efficiently using Microsoft and SharePoint products. We are excited to continue to supply Microsoft Jordan with cutting-edge technologies, services and consultancy, and would like to thank our team at the Ministry for planning and designing this project," stated Para Solutions CEO, Haytham Samar.

In turn, Microsoft Jordan Country Manager, Hussein Malhas, said, "At Microsoft Jordan, we continuously strive to collaborate with different government entities and serve as a key partner that helps them achieve their strategic objectives. Thus, funding and managing the integration of our EPM platform into government entities' daily operations is an accomplishment we are extremely proud of."
