Beeah and Crossfit Hour Sign MoU to Implement Recycling At Crossfit Hour Fitness Centre


(MENAFNEditorial) Bee'ah – the Middle East's leading and award winning integrated environmental and waste management company – signed a memorandum of understanding with Crossfit Hour, the UAE's top fitness centre, on 24 March 2014 at the Crossfit Hour Gym in Sharjah.



Attendees from Bee'ah include Khaled Al Huraimel Group Chief Executive Officer and Saif Abdulla Al Sahrif Director of Recycling Collection& Business Operations. Crossfit Hour attendees include Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh Owner and Majed Juma Al Musharrkh Partner.



The MoU aims to further strengthen and improve collaborations between Bee'ah and businesses in Sharjah to further cement the business community commitment to ensuring a greener, more environmentally-sustainable future in Sharjah



Under the terms of the MoU, Bee'ah will be providing Crossfit Hour with arrangements for the collection and recycling of waste across all of the fitness centre's premises. All plastic bottles used at every Crossfit Hour centre in the emirate will be recycled. According to statistics of Crossfit Hour centres, the average number of plastic bottles used on an annual basis – across all Crossfit Hour locations – totals 54,000 PET water bottles.



The objective of this initiative is to encourage the adoption of sustainable business practises – in conformity with the UAE law – and foster greater environmental knowledge among Sharjah businesses. Most importantly, this collaboration will help set a new benchmark for other UAE fitness centers to follow suit. The signing of this MoU marks the start of this new initiative, where Bee'ah seeks to have more fitness centres joining the green recycling drive across the UAE



The agreement was drawn up in line with Bee'ah's goal to reduce, re-use, and recycle waste in Sharjah while enhancing the residential and business community awareness and environemtnal engagement levels.
