US, China Say N. Korea Must Denuclearize


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) US President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping have reaffirmed their countries will not tolerate North Korea's nuclear ambitions.



During a summit between the two leaders last night on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague, Obama said the US and China must work closely to deliver a clear message the North must abandon its nuclear ambitions, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) websit



Xi reaffirmed Beijing's principle of supporting the denuclearization of North Kore



However, the two leaders differed over the resumption of the stalled six-way nuclear talks. Obama said any kind of negotiation or dialogue with the North should be based on the actions taken by Pyongyang, while Xi said the six-nation talks should resume as soon as possible.
