(MENAFN - Arab Times) The First World Police Sport and Security Conference kicked off on Sunday under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. On behalf of His Highness the Amir, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah delivered the following speech: On behalf of the HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah this conference will be held under the supervision International Police Sport Union and organized Ministry of Interior in Kuwait with the participation of senior professionals, organizations and sports bodies, media, and security, locally, regionally and internationally. I am also pleased to convey greetings of His Highness the Amir, HH the Crown Prince, and HH the Prime Minister, wishing all participants success

I also hope the conference will achieve its ambitious goals in enforcing the values and principles of security and sports, its means and management not only in the Arab region, but globally. The convening of this conference in Kuwait is another testimony of the country's love and peace message nationally and internationally, including its call towards enhancing security and sports as one of the most important pillars of overall system. Security such as social security social, economic and cultural values is one of main principles to the last of these series of pillars. Security which adds additional burdens to the efforts of the security services and is an important step in securing and protecting the sports competitions tighter control and security and impose order and to address the manifestations of violence, and rioting in stadiums which disturb sport events in general

The importance of the First World Security Sports Conference will come during the various sessions of the conference which will allow exhange of information, discussing trends, modern management administration of sports facilities, and legal security Sports challenges and constraints, crimes, and hooliganism. Later, Ministry of Interior Assistant Undersecretary and President of Kuwait Police Sport Federation Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah delivered the following speech: On behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and through the attendance of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and members of the organizing committee, I welcome all honored guests

The conference will be March 22 to 24, and will continue its sessions over two consecutive days, which are held on two periods, including holding six sessions divided as follows: First:- Four scientific sessions related to the issues related to sports and security

Second:- A number of sessions of two panel discussions, where the scientific sessions of the conference focused on four points and the following points: - First:- Administration national security and global sporting

Second:- The Public Health Security and sports

Third:- challenges and crises Security Sports World. Fourth:- Media and marketing and security Sports World

With regard to the two discussion sessions: First:- pilot experiments for community projects to security men)

Second:- The pioneering experiments for Champions athletes employees of the police force. Ladies and Gentlemen.. This conference attended by a select group of VIPs decision makers and opinion leaders in discerning bodies and international sports institutions and international organizations as well as academic specialists qualified and relevant to the work and programs of the conference. Given the importance of the conference.. he was offering a number (22) working paper concerning the conference was the adoption of a number (13) of them by the Scientific Committee to support those themes addressed by the conference in order to achieve the desired goals of the conference, which was held for. With a full appreciation of the ability of the Scientific Committee in drawing conclusions and recommendations that would achieve the goals of conference which will contribute effectively and achieve security in sports all forms and at the local, regional and international

Meanwhile, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Sport for Development and Peace Wilfried Lemke highlighted on Sunday the importance of Sport for Peace and Security. During the opening session of the First World Police Sport and Security Conference, Lemke discussed his personal experience with sport as a facilitator, advocator and UN representative. The UN official also talked about his priorities and hopes to tackle sport and security issues, mentioning his experience concerning the African continent, gender equality, empowering persons with disabilities, youth development and role models, being the flagship the Youth Leadership Programme, and sport as a tool for conflict resolution

Lemke further talked about sport in bringing people together, fighting for peace, and security in major sport events. Later, the Representative of the IOC President Sam Ramsamy delivered a similar speech highlighting the importance of sport and security in general
