(MENAFN) A joint venture between UAE Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) and Al Jaber Engineering has won a USD1.7 billion contract for the design and construction of a project in Qatar, Arabian Business reported
Work on the New Orbital Highway and Truck Route (PO23), Contract 3, will be done by Qatar's Public Works Authority, Ashghal
HLG CEO and managing director said that the project will further strengthen the group's presence in Qatar
He said: "The Orbital Highway is a major opportunity for HLG and our joint venture partner Al Jaber Engineering, and we are pleased to have been selected by Ashghal to work in partnership with them to deliver such an important part of national infrastructure for Qatar.
