Rwanda's milk exports revenue overtakes coffee's


(MENAFN) The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda said that the country earned more from milk exports than coffee and mineral in 2013, Xinhua reported



The report reveals that milks and its products brought USD22.41 million in the last quarter of 2013, bringing the most revenue than any other export commodity



Mineral exports fetched the second highest revenue as Rwanda exports niobium, vanadium ores, tantalum and concentrates



In 2012, the country"s coffee exports ranked first with USD25.48 million, but last year, coffee exports came third to milk and mineral exports



Rwanda's milk production has surged 11 percent in the past two years, while coffee exports dropped as a result of decline in coffee products generally
