In a recent press statement, the minister affirmed the inspection mechanism remains in effect and it is applicable to owners of small enterprises like groceries, libraries or barber shops; specifically those who need four to seven employees
Director of Hawally Labor Department and acting Director of the Capital Labor Department Abdullah Al- Mutawtah unveiled a plan to establish new facilities for owners of small projects to allow them to hire workers from abroad without inspection or estimate of actual manpower need as per the recommendations of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh and Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs Jamal Al-Dosari, reports Al-Seyassah daily In a press statement recently, Al-Mutawtah explained this privilege is given to owners of small enterprises like groceries, libraries, barber shops and others; which require not more than seven employees. He said the decision is applicable to all commercial licenses affiliated to Hawally and Capital governorates
Meanwhile, it has been reported the ministry inspectors must check the location of the small business and its activity prior to giving the owner an authorization to implement the project to determine the number of employees he will be allowed to hire. Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, the Ministry of Education intends to reduce the quantity of meals by half as per recommendation of the joint committee consisting of members from the ministry and its health counterpart, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources
Sources revealed the Public Services Administration in the Ministry of Education has finalized the conditions and new items to be included in the meals for approval next year. Sources said the committee presented this recommendation as the existing meals contain a huge amount of carbohydrates and fats, which may contribute to the rising obesity rate in the country. Sources added the committee suggested the inclusion of more fruits and vegetables to provide healthy meals to the students. Sources went on to say the committee also called for the exclusion of water from the meal package as the children are playing with it; but it proposed the provision of water coolers and refrigerators
