(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The Wave, Muscat received recently a group of German Architects from the Chamber of Architects Hamburg.


The visit is part of the significant role played by The Wave, Muscat to promote investment opportunities within the country as well as to showcase the development of world-class tourism destinations.


The visit by the German architects to The Wave, Muscat aimed to introduce them to Oman's iconic freehold real estate development and first Integrated Tourism Complex and inspect progress on its world-class amenities including, four and five-star luxurious hotels, including the Kempinski which opens in 2015, Almouj Marina, Almouj Golf's Greg Norman signature links golf course, Retail Precinct and the residential properties comprising villas, townhouses and apartments.


While touring around the various residential, leisure and commercial components at the development, the architects had the chance to get familiar with the unique technical configurations and architectural designs that distinguish The Wave, Muscat from other tourism projects in the country and region in general.


The master plan was designed to global benchmarks and is consistently recognized throughout the region for quality of design, build and facilities and is already home to more than 2500 residents from 52 nationalities.


During the visit, the architects inspected how the project designers have blended the unique Omani architecture with contemporary styles to achieve a modern interpretation of traditional building and design techniques which reflected the changing lifestyle of modern Oman.


The Wave, Muscat was named Best International Architecture in the International Property Awards in 2009, Best Development in Oman in the Bloomberg Arabian Property Awards 2010, Best Mixed-Use Development Oman in Arabian Property Awards 2012 as well as taking out the Best new International Development award.


Last year, The development won two prestigious construction awards as Best Residential Project and Best Interior Design in Dossier Construction Awards 2013.


The Wave, Muscat is a unique public-private venture between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE-based Majid al Futtaim Properties.
