(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti citizen, 2 Syrians and 11 Bedoun men were arrested for firing gunshots in Sulaibiya and Taima areas in Jahra Governorate two days ago. According to a press release issued yesterday by the Ministry of Interior, securitymen conducted intensive investigations and raids, which resulted in the arrest of the 14 suspects in possession of a number of weapons, pistols, different types of bullets and narcotic pills. They also seized four vehicles that were used by the suspects for reckless driving and stunts
Securitymen also discovered that the suspects were involved in several cases. They were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for further investigations. The ministry affirmed that security authorities will not allow such acts that are against the law and create problems in the society, stressing that violators will be severely penalized. It reiterated that the security authorities are keen about the safety and security of Kuwaiti citizens and they will not hesitate to take strict action against those who fail to abide by the law. It stressed the capabilities of the concerned authorities to conduct intensive investigations and searches to find illicit items and wanted individuals
