Leader of the opposition in national assembly and pakistan people’s party (ppp) leader syed khurshid shah on saturday ruled out the possibility of the muttahida qaumi movement joining the sindh government. talking to reporters in sukkur khurshid shah criticised mqm chief altaf hussain’s statements instigating undemocratic forces to take over in the country. the ppp stands for democracy that makes it impossible for the two parties to form a coalition.


Khurshid shah said that altaf hussain should understand that democracy in the country has come after a long struggle and his undemocratic statements would only worsen the situation.


He further said that the talks underway with the taleban should be transparent and parliament should be informed about the progress. the opposition only wanted that peace be restored in the country.


He said interior minister chaudhry nisar ali khan’s statements relating to talks with the taleban keep changing.


Meanwhile in a related development altaf hussain has directed mqm leaders and workers to desist from making any anti-ppp statements and instead try to establish an atmosphere of mutual respect and harmony.
