(MENAFN -Arab News) al-jouf gov. prince fahd bin bandar has launched several projects worth sr1 billion in the region and thanked custodian of the two holy mosques for his efforts in improving the lives of citizens
'the health projects are the first of their kind in al-jouf and include the king abdulaziz specialist hospital and its affiliated centers and the prince miteb bin abdulaziz hospital" prince fahd said after launching the projects and laying the foundation stone for other projects in the region
Foundation stones were laid for 16 medical warehouses at the cost of sr64 million and an outpatient clinic at dumat al-jandal hospital in addition to residential projects and mental health hospitals in sakaka and tabarjal hospital to be built in two phases
'the health facilities have also been equipped with the latest technological and medical equipment to keep pace with medical advances being witnessed by the world around us" said the prince
Abdullah bin fahd al-hussein president of saudi press agency said that al-jouf now includes the largest medical establishments as well as specialized medical centers in dental medicine and diabetes equipped with the latest medical equipment in the world to provide the people of al-jouf with health care in different sub-specialities
Other medical projects will also be launched in the region in the next few months. these include a women's and children's hospital regional laboratory anti-poison center and kidney disease center to complete medical services needed by citizens in the region
Al-hussein also said that such medical services create employment opportunities in the region and stressed the importance of the media's role in highlighting health facilities and the medical services they offer.
