Forest hit by Reid injury

(MENAFN- Kora) The 31-year-old midfielder has made 32 appearances for Forest in the Championship this season, scoring nine goals, and has been instrumental in the club's rise into the play-off places

Reid recently underwent surgery on a hernia and only returned to the first team in the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough last week

In an attempt to revive Forest's floundering campaign, manager Billy Davies restored Reid to his starting line-up against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, but he was unable to finish the game due to the new setback

Reid was withdrawn after 60 minutes and is now set to be missing for three weeks

The news comes as a blow to Forest, who have seen a winless run of six league matches put their top-six hopes in jeopardy ahead of the weekend's clash with promotion rivals Derby County

A boost for Forest is that Davies will be allowed on the touchline against Derby after his Football Association hearing for improper conduct was delayed

The Scot has served two of the five-match touchline ban, but is able to return to the dugout after appealing the second part of the charge
