(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) A regional workshop on education statistics in GCC and Yemen will be held by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics between March 23 and 25. The workshop, a joint effort with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, aims to build statistical capacities in the field of education by developing the capacities of participants to classify education spending date based on international standards that make it possible to compare to the international level and to familiarize participants of how to calculate relevant indicators and use them in planning and monitoring progress. Trainees will be lectured on how to use the modern version of the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED 2011), and how to implement it in the classification of national education programs.
