Oman, Saudi Arabia hold military exercise


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by the Sultan of Oman Parachutes, and paratroopers from Saudi Arabia have carried out a joint military exercise in South Batinah.


The exercise, Jabal 14, began on March 9.


Maj Gen Matar bin Salim bin Rashid al Balushi, commander of RAO, Maj Gen Fahd bin Turki bin Abdul Aziz al Saud, deputy commander of the Royal Land Forces and commander of the para units and special forces in Saudi Arabia, H E Sheikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, governor of South Batinah, walis in the governorate, a number of senior SAF, ROP and Saudi Royal Land Forces officers attended the exercise.


The commander of the Royal Land Forces, commander of the para and special forces in Saudi Arabia and his accompanying delegation arrived on Wednesday.


They were received by Brigadier Hamad bin Rashid al Balushi, director general of Operations and Training, Brigadier. Khalifa bin Said al Busaidi, director general of Administration and Human Resources at RAO and a number of senior RAO officers.
