Egyptian economy expands 1.2 percent in 6 months


(MENAFN) The Egyptian economy expanded by 1.2 percent in the first six months of the 2013-2014 fiscal year, Saudi Gazette reported



The country"s minister of planning said that Egypt spent USD3.4 billion of the USD9.1 billion pledged in stimulus packages



The minister said: "We aim to achieve a growth rate in the third quarter of more than 2 percent.



In the previous fiscal year ending June 30, Egypt"s gross domestic product grew by 2.1 percent
