Australia's David Jones profit down 4.6 percent in 6 months


(MENAFN) Australia's department store chain David Jones said that net profit dropped 4.6 percent in six months, Xinhua reported



David Jones announced that its net profit went down to USD63.98 million for the half year ended Jan. 25, 2014



The company said that its net profit dropped 4.6 percent from USD67 million in the corresponding period a year ago



Earnings from core department store business, however, surged 8.3 percent to USD83.6 million due to a 3.8 percent increase in sales during the period
