G20 GDP growth slightly slower in 2013


(MENAFN) The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said that the gross domestic product (GDP) in G20 countries is expected to grow at slower pace in 2013, Xinhua reported



The GDP in G20 countries is expected to grow by 2.8 percent in 2013, down from a growth of 2.9 percent the year before it



G20 area's GDP growth in the fourth quarter of last year hit 0.8 percent, down from 0.9 percent in the third quarter



China logged the strongest GDP growth among G20 countries as it grew 1.8 percent in the fourth quarter, down from 2.2 percent in the previous quarter



The OECD said: "For 2013 as a whole, GDP expanded by 2.8 percent in the G20 area, compared with 2.9 percent in 2012.
