The OilGas Year to produce IEF official publication
(MENAFNEditorial) The Oil & Gas Year has been selected by the International Energy Forum (IEF) to produce its official publication for the 14th IEF Ministerial Meetings, to be hosted by the Russian government on May 15-16, 2014 in Moscow. Iraq and the UK will co-host the event
The publication will be a crucial platform for communicating the dominant issues that will be discussed at the Ministerial by a distinguished collection of energy ministers, business executives, industry experts and dignitaries. The aim of the publication will be to communicate and clarify the priorities of the IEF, which include promoting energy security, data-transparency, sustainability and cooperation around the world.
"It is an unbelievable honour to have been chosen to produce the IEF's official publication," said Guillaume Doane, CEO of The Oil & Gas Year. "As a neutral facilitator for dialogue between key energy stakeholders, the IEF is an important cog in the global energy wheel. We are eager to produce a publication that advances the dialogue of the sector's most pressing issues.
Ministers at IEF14 will discuss topics including unconventional oil and gas, energy sustainability and security, public-private partnerships, the resilience of energy systems, and the global energy architecture of the future. The two-day ministerial session will also feature the launch of a new data-transparency effort, JODI-Gas, which builds on the success of the Joint Organisations Data Initiative oil information platform, known as JODI Oil.
"We are impressed by the quality of The Oil & Gas Year publications, and their ability to reach our target audiences across the globe," said IEF Secretary General Aldo Flores.
The Riyadh-based IEF was established by energy ministers to promote energy co-operation and dialogue among its 75 member countries, which account for almost 90 percent of global oil and gas supply and demand. The IEF comprises the participation of countries belonging to OPEC and the International Energy Agency, as well as large states outside those organisations, including Brazil, China, Mexico, Russia and South Africa. The IEF's biennial ministerial meeting is the world's largest gathering of global energy ministers
The Oil & Gas Year is the flagship title of Wildcat International, a publisher of business intelligence resources. The Oil & Gas Year is a series of annual executive reports on more than 30 territories that are critical business tools for energy investors, highlighting and promoting key actors and opportunities. The Oil & Gas Year's global circulation reaches 69,000 readers in 101 countries, as audited by BPA Worldwide.
