US inventories up 0.4 percent in Jan


(MENAFN) The US Department of Commerce said that inventories in the country continued its upward trend in January, Xinhua reported



Sales in the month, however, logged the largest decline in 10 months, the department said



Inventories during January increased 0.4 percent to USD1.72 trillion, following a 0.5 percent increase in the month before it



Combined sales by manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers fell 0.9 percent in January to USD1.3 trillion
