Two Bids for Doha Zoo Development Project


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Public Works Authority said on Sunday it tendered two bids for a project designed to develop the Doha Zoo, valuing 118.253 million riyals for setting the ground for construction works. A contract valuing 45,288, 598 riyals will be aimed at razing old buildings, preparing the site for the major contractor and building outside temporary fences. The second 73, 225, 002 million riyal contract will be used to build temporary shelters for animals in the Rawdat al Faras ranch. In November last year, the Public Works Authority said it signed a contract for the design of the zoo which be built on 75 hectares of land, and, when finished, will be a Qatari landmark that is expected to be opened for the public by the end of 2017.
