Kuwait- ICAI Kuwait Chapter holds CPE event


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kuwait Chapter (ICAI) organized a CPE Event on ' Successful Negotiation Skills' on 12th March 2014 at Holiday Inn-Down Town Kuwait for its members as part of Continuing Professional Education (CPE). The Presenter - Neil McCallum has been an Associate Advisor to the British Council globally on anti corruption initiatives, records management and information rights since 1996. He is a UK Government trained organizational analyst and a current member of the UK Government's Stabilisation Unit. He is also an author whose work has been published in several countries. He currently designs and delivers training courses and study programmes for an international clientele



During the session; Neil shared his 20 principles of successful negotiation which are the product of more than 30 years of practice. He drew on first-hand experience of negotiating management-labour agreements, commercial contracts and international accords involving a range of countries and various cultural contexts. In this presentation he used real life examples and case studies from various countries to illustrate how seemingly quite small oversights can damage an otherwise promising negotiation and how following simple rules can greatly maximize the prospect of a 'win-win' outcome.



The evening was anchored by CA Deepak Bindal, a fellow member of ICAI. CA. Sunny Bhatia then raised a vote of thanks to all gathered on the occasion. Further, as a token of appreciation to the presenter - Neil Mc Callum - a memento was presented by CA Ripal Shah on behalf of the ICAI, Kuwait Chapter. The event was well attended by fellow members of ICAI Kuwait Chapter an Association of 400+ Chartered Accountants that has formed a local Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India in Kuwait. The Chapter strives to advance members technical knowledge and promote their skills to reflect only the best. In turn this underscores their responsibility to provide the best service and use a structured and disciplined approach in representing their Client and the ICAI.
