With lok sabha polls drawing nearer, kejriwal was in bharatiya janata party-ruled gujarat for four days last week for verifying chief minister narendra narendra modi’s claims of exemplary development in the state. while a toll booth attendant at varahi in northern patan district in his delayed complaint lodged on thursday said that an aap convoy of around 20 cars and other vehicles passed through on march 6 without paying any toll, another toll booth employee in samakhiyali in kutch district came up with a similar complaint the same day.
Surprisingly, the twin plaints came soon after finance minister nitin patel told journalists that kejriwal and other state leaders of aam aadmi party had skipped toll payment at three places, “moving off with his entire cavalcade”.
According to patel, former rebel bjp lawmaker kanui kalsaria was also travelling with kejriwal but they did not stop their cars even when the toll booth staffers asked them to do so.
Gujarat aam aadmi party convener sukhdev patel made light of the minister’s allegations and told khaleej times that the bjp regime should first check its own history before making such allegations and reminded him about headstrong bjp leader vitthal radadia who had terrorised the toll plaza staff by brandishing his gun when he was asked to pay toll tax.
“they even made his son minister in their cabinet, so they have no face to make such allegations,” he said. —
