Ministry of Transport and Communications patronises Project OmanTransOman 2014


(MENAFNEditorial) Muscat-Oman's infrastructure is on the verge of a huge expansion, with numerous road projects, airports, mining operations, railway networks, affordable housing, human capital to name a few being developed over the next 5 years. With the Omani government focusing on major investments in infrastructure, sources report that the transport sector stands to gain much from the construction push. Comprehensive short term (2020) and long term (2040) plans formulated by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) will focus on a clearly formulated public transport model in the country. This transport strategy will take into consideration the ports, airports, railways and various other projects in different areas of Oman.



With the aim of highlighting, while at the same time paying tribute to the upcoming hard & soft developments, ProjectOman 2014-the ideal platform for showcasing Oman's developing market-will take place from 3rd- 5th June 2014 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre and will address the latest project developments across the Sultanate's related infrastructure projects sectors. Oman's premier event for Transport, Shipping and Logistics-TransOman 2014 will take place alongside ProjectOman 2014 putting special focus on the country's trade and transport sector. Both events are held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and organized by OITE Trade Fairs. Running parallel to the expo, the TransOman Conference 2014 will witness government officials convene with top transport and logistics executives to discuss vital issues connected to the related sector.



"Project Oman 2014 will allow and support efforts by the government, private and public sector directed towards developments across the Sultanate of Oman including oil and non-oil based sectors while TransOman 2014 will bring light to industry issues, latest trends, and networking opportunities with various service providers in the air, road, rail, shipping, customs, cargo and logistics businesses" says Mr. Ashit Barnes, Senior Manager-OITE Trade Fairs.



ProjectOman 2014 will witness participation from key representatives involved in developing Oman's infrastructure who will realize the potential of the event in expanding business contacts, networking with key decision makers and strengthening their position in Oman's developing market. Visitors may touch base with developers, operators, contractors and PMCs at Project Oman to undertake business opportunities.



TransOman 2014 will represent players in the air, land, port and heavy machinery sectors from leading transport and logistics organizations both within the country and abroad and offer visitors a comprehensive selection of transport solutions under one roof
