(MENAFN- Kora) The Canadian clinched her fifth World Cup title - and fourth in succession - by winning in Veysonnaz on Tuesday, and she rounded off an impressive season by coming out on top again in Spain

It was a third win from six races this season, and she displayed her remarkable consistency by achieving a podium finish in every race this season

She finished with a final total of 5,400 points, 1,640 ahead of United States' Lindsey Jacobellis, who came second in the big final on Saturday for a fourth podium finish of the campaign

Italy's Raffaella Brutto and Japan's Yuka Fujimori made up the remainder of the big final to claim 600 and 500 points respectively, while Alexandra Jekova, who finished third in the overall standings, won the small final to add 450 points to her final season total

World Cup victory rounds off an impressive season for Maltais, who claimed Olympic silver at the Sochi Games last month

She was beaten that day by Czech Republic's Eva Samkova, who was not in action on Saturday and finished her World Cup campaign in fifth place overall

Olympic bronze medallist Chloe Trespeuch of France came home in ninth position in Spain, claiming 290 points and ninth place in the final standings
