The winger scored two of Wales' seven tries in the rout as the hosts ruthlessly exposed Scotland, who played the best part of an hour with 14 men after full-back Stuart Hogg was sent from the field for a late, high challenge on Dan Biggar

Jamie Roberts also claimed a brace of tries, while there were further scores for Liam Williams, Toby Faletau and Rhodri Williams as Wales recorded their heaviest ever win over Scotland

After a disappointing defeat against England at Twickenham last week, North was pleased that he and his team-mates could produce a response in front of their own fans

"It doesn't make up for it (the Twickenham defeat) but it's good to finish on a high note," he told BBC Sport

"It's been a tough few weeks for us

"We didn't get the result we wanted at Twickenham. We've trained very hard this week and it showed

"From last week it's a great performance and a lot better

"I'm happy with the two tries, all the boys played exceptionally well. When it's open like that, that's how we like to play.
