Kuwait Hosts GCC Consumer Protection Meeting Sunday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kuwait will host on Sunday the 4th meeting of the committee of undersecretaries and chiefs of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states' consumer protection agencies.



The meeting is expected to discuss means to step up Gulf efforts to protect consumers, ensure their rights and boost their awareness of rights and dutie



Speaking to Kuwait news agency KUNA on the event, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Control and Consumer Protection Abdullah Al-Enezi said the GCC member states attach much attention to consumers' protection in order to ensure market stabilit



The agenda of the meeting includes several major items, primarily a uniform Gulf bill for the protection of consumers in the GCC countries, and a GCC Secretariat memo on Saudi Arabia's hosting of a website containing the data and information of Gulf commodity and product prices, he adde
