(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatari sailors made a widely- praised performance in the conclusion of the prestigious 6th GCC Sailing Championship 2014 to win three gold medals at Doha sailing club on Saturday. Qatar's Saleh Tilfat confidently won the Laser 4.7 title to clinch the gold medal, as his teammate, Waleed Al Sharshani won the laser STD title and on the same track of victory, Qatar's Faris Al Bekri claimed the gold medal in the laser RDL. The Championship Organizing Committee crowned the top winners and hosted a ceremony in the honor of the participating teams at Sharq hotel in Doha on Saturday. The event which organized by Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation (QSRF) brought together five GCC nations, including hosts Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
