Oman- Confidence clinches win for junior contestant from Al Inshirah school

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Eleven students – all in the junior category – took part in the semifinal of the Muscat Daily Listen Up contest at Al Inshirah Private School on Thursday.

Ghaliya Hamed Abdullah al Mahrizi emerged the winner, speaking on My Dream Job in the prepared category and My Parents in the impromptu segment.

She booked herself a spot in the final that will be held at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel next month.

The little girl used her body language to emphasise her views. Ghaliya didn't have one dream job as she started off by wishing to become a doctor and then a pharmacist. She finally decided to be a teacher, just like her mother

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Ghaliya said she was expecting to win after seeing other contestants perform. ''I would like to say thank you to all of you,'' she said. The other students spoke on what makes them happy, their best friends and their favourite films.

The judges' panel had Shamsa al Jufaili, owner of Al Inshirah Private School and Omar al Ghadani and Juma al Busaidi, teachers of English from Kharees al Haboos Government Schoo
