(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) OTE Group, the distributor for Hyundai Motors in Oman recently announced Oman's most popular football star Ali Al Habsi as the brand ambassador for Hyundai in Oman.
The announcement was made in the presence of Sheikh Saad Suhail Bahwan, chairman, OTE Group; Tom Lee – vice president, Head of Africa & Middle East regional headquarters - Hyundai Motor Company; Ajay Chopra, managing director, OTE Group and officials from Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai fans. Hyundai Oman is planning a series of marketing initiatives and promotions to bring the brand closer to its fans.
Ali al Habsi as brand ambassador, will play a central role in helping build a strong relation between Hyundai & its fans in Oman. This is in line with Hyundai Motors FIFA partnership, wherein as the official partner of the forthcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup at Brazil Hyundai is supporting the event in big way by offering ground transportation fleet, various exclusive marketing promotions, ground level activations, extensive global media exposure, etc.
Sheikh Saad Suhail Bahwan said, ''We at OTE are delighted to have Habsi as brand ambassador for Hyundai in Oman. I am sure this will be a winning combination and will help Hyundai score in the minds of the youth.'' Hyundai is proud of its association with FIFA since 1999 World Cup, and serves as the official automotive supplier to all FIFA-sanctioned events around the world. As the official FIFA partner, Hyundai has extended it's strategic sponsorship agreement till the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Hyundai sees football as a core element of its strategy to connect global customers – specially the youth.
