(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Ahlibank recently sponsored the Labour Policies & Sustainability Development Forum' organised by Oman Economic Association.
The forum was aimed at promoting a deeper understanding about labour policies and their effect on business and the importance of sustainability in development. The forum, which was held at the Grand Mosque Conference Centre in Muscat.
Commenting on the Bank's participation in the event, Ahlibank's' CEO, Lloyd Maddock said, ''Ahlibank' support to this important forum is an opportunity to showcase its role as a well-established institution contributing to building and developing the Omani economy. The Bank will continue to support forums and events of this scale that bring to the forefront current key issues, trends and developments taking place within industries.''
He said, ''We are not just a financial entity operating in the Omani market, we are part of the fabric that makes up the Omani society and we believe that the support we provide to such events can help empower civil society which plays a key role in the development.''
The Omani Economic Association aims to activate, encourage and publish scientific research in order to contribute to the socioeconomic development activities in Oman as well as cooperating with the government and private sector entities concerned with economic development.
