Princess Astrid of Belgium leads large trade delegation to Saudi Arabia, Oman


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Princess Astrid, representing King Philippe of Belgium, will preside over a trade mission to Saudi Arabia and Oman from 15 to 21 March, the Royal Palace has announced



The mission is organized by the Belgian Agency for International Trade in collaboration with the regional offices of foreign trade and the ministry of foreign affairs



The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and several other Ministers will accompany the Princess



Meanwhile, the Belgian Agency for International Trade said the mission will include 365 businessmen representing 160 Belgian companies

Belgian exports to Saudi Arabia in 2012 was worth 1.57 billion euro nearly the same in 2011 of 1.58 billion euro



Belgian imports from Saudi Arabia went up to 1.33 billion euro in 2012 against 1.20 billion euro in 2011



Belgian exports to Oman in 2012 went up to 290 million euro from 136 million euro in 2011



Belgian imports from Oman increased to 67.4 million euro in 2012 from 56.8 million euro in 2011.
