Japan's Panasonic to pay expats in China higher salaries


(MENAFN) Japanese electronics giant Panasonic said it will pay employees sent to China a wage premium to account for the country"s hazardous air pollution, according to Oman Observer



The announcement came as a part of a deal reached in Japan"s annual labor talks which saw major firms, including Panasonic and Toyota, agree to increase workers" salaries for the first time in years



Panasonic is believed to be the first to announce a premium to compensate for polluted air
