ME spending on IT infrastructure to hit USD3.47 b in 2014


(MENAFN) IT infrastructure spending in the Middle East and Africa is expected to reach USD3.47 billion this year, 4.1 percent higher than in 2013, according to Gulf News



Mary Mesaglio, research vice presidents at Gartner, said: "CIOs in the Gulf are beginning to prepare their enterprises to stay relevant in the digital business era, and they will continue to invest in technologies such as mobility, cloud, social, and analytics.



She added: "In 2014, we expect a lot of digital business and innovation to be driven by the convergence of these forces in the Gulf.



Server is the biggest component of this infrastructure market, accounting for USD1.3 billion in 2014, and is expected to reach USD1.54 billion in 2017
