Japan business sentiment hit 12.7 in Q1


(MENAFN) Business sentiment at Japan's large firms hit a fresh record of 12.7 in the first quarter of 2014, Xinhua reported



The Japanese Finance Ministry said that the figure, the highest since 2004, increased from 8.3 in the quarter before it



Business sentiment at manufacturers increased from 9.7 to 12.5 in the quarter due to a rush in demand prior to the sales tax hike.



The survey shows that the non-manufacturers sentiment increased to 12.8 in the first quarter, up from 7.5 in the previous quarter
