Iran's output of crude steel to rise to 55 m tons


(MENAFN) Crude steel output in Iran reaches 15 million tons annually by the end of the current Iranian year, which begins on March 20, according to Tehran Times



Chairman of the association of Iranian steel producers Bahram Sobhani said that output is expected to rise to 55 million tons by the end of the Fifth Five-Year Development Plan (2015)



Iran could rank first in producing crude steel among the Middle East region last year.



Iran produced 15.4 million tons of crude steel in 2013, a 6.6 percent rise compared to 2012
