HMC Participates in Medhealth Cairo 2014


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Hamad Medical Corporation is participating in the 14th annual congress of the Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF) scheduled Wednesday in Cairo with the theme of this year being "It's time to hold partnerships in the health sector". The two-day congress is being held concurrently with the Council of Arab Health Ministers. "The participation of Hamad Medical Corporation in the Annual Congress of the Arab Hospitals Federation for the sixth year in a row comes as part of the Corporation's plans to benefit from regional and international expertise in health care. We also aim at sustaining the development process to transform the level of patient treatment and care. This participation is of key importance to improve the outcomes of healthcare and to develop HMC staff through continuous training," Said Mohamad Mubarak Al Noimi, Chief of Communication and chief of staff for the Managing Director's Office at HMC. "Being under the umbrella of the Arab League, AHF's recognition of the achievements of HMC and the pioneering medical and clinical role played by the Corporation in the State of Qatar, as the premier healthcare provider in the country. HMC has achieved the Joint Commission Accreditation (JCI) which makes HMC the first healthcare organization to gain such prestigious accreditation outside the United States of America. HMC was reaccredited two times JCI and achieved the accreditation for Home Care Services for the first time in the region," Al Noimi added. Ali Abdallah Al Khater, the Executive Director of HMC's Corporate Communications Department, said HMC will be showcasing the full spectrum of its healthcare capabilities as well as using the Congress as a forum for exploring collaborations with other healthcare organizations in the region. "HMC's participation in the AHF Congress and Exhibition is a considerable effort to showcase our pioneering medical and clinical role in Qatar," Al Khater said. "It also paves the way for the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of healthcare marketing, communications as well as being acquainted with the latest developments in this area." The 4th Arab Hospitals Congress is held in collaboration with the Arab League and the Executive Office of the Arab Health Ministers' Council and the Executive Office of the Arab Health Ministers in the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. The congress includes a scientific program on the partnerships in the Arab health sector between both sectors; public and private, hospitals and doctors, doctors and nurses, hospitals and suppliers. The first day of the congress is scheduled to hold a discussion entitled: "It's time to hold partnerships in the health sector" with the participation of Arab health ministers. The scientific event at the congress coincides with the exhibition of Arab and international healthcare organizations and health care service providers and medical equipment manufactures across the world. The exhibition will present the latest discoveries and technologies in the field of health care from different countries in the world
