Students' Awareness Workshop on WMD Starts March 11


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The fourth Awareness Workshop for secondary schools students that will give insights on agreements concerning Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) will be held at Regency Hall tomorrow, Tuesday and runs for two day



Qatar's National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) is organsing the workshop in association with the Supreme Education Council (SEC



Held under the auspices of HE, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Major General Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah, as part of annual programme and training of NCPW and SEC, the workshop aims at spreading awareness in the communit



Over 300 students representing 30 secondary schools for girls, and 300 students representing 30 secondary schools for boys will participate in this event



About five lectures on achievements and goals of NCPW will be delivered during the workshop.



These lectures will raise awareness on the seriousness of these types of weapons, international organizations and agreements on chemical and biological nuclear weapons among other topic
