Kuwait - Verdict in protest by ex-MPs put on hold

(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Misdemeanor Court acquitted two citizens - Badr Muhammad Al-Sebaei and Faleh Badr Al-Sebaei - of participating in an illegal gathering. Meanwhile, the court adjourned until March 31 the issuance of its verdict on the case of 14 citizens, including eight former MPs, accused of participating in unlicensed march and gathering in Sabah Al-Nasser area. In another development, the court released four Bedouns, on bail of KD 100 each, accused of participating in the recent protests in Taima. It also ordered 10-day extension of the detention of Bedoun activists - Abdallah Atallah, Abdulhakeem Al-Fadhli and Abdulnasser Al-Fadhli - to continue interrogations on their involvement in the Taima demonstration
