Canada's economy slows down


(MENAFN) Canada's economy saw a slight retreat in the first quarter of the current year with business failing to drive growth as policymakers predicted, according to Iran Daily



Canada's employment decreased 7.000 in February, registering its second decline in three months



Trade deficit was the 23rd in 25 months.



Paul Ferley, assistant chief economist at Royal Bank of Canada, said: "The job report speaks to the bank remaining on the sidelines, just monitoring the data and getting a sense if this handoff to exports and investment does seem to be happening or not.
