Lee, Chen to renew rivalry in Birmingham

(MENAFN- Kora) The pair met a year ago in Birmingham with Chen coming out on top, however Lee has the chance to secure a third All England title when the pair meet in the 2014 final.

Lee, world number one, was forced to come from behind in his bid to reach a sixth All England final in his semi-final against Son Wan-Ho.

The Malaysian won through 14-21 21-19 21-15 against the 25-year-old, despite suffering with an long-term ankle problem which he has hinted could end his career once the season is over

Chen meanwhile enjoyed an easier time of it in his final-four clash with Zhengming Wang - recording a 21-17 21-14 win.

Fourth seed Shixian Wang produced a surprise result as she booked herself a meeting in the women's final with top seed Xuerui Li.

The Chinese saw off compatriot Yihan Wang 21-8 21-15 to ensure she has the opportunity to add to her 2011 title against the world number one.

Li ensured the final will be an all-Chinese affair after proving too strong for Thai opponent Ratchanok Intanon - securing a 21-18 21-8 win in just 35 minutes.
