Passing out ceremony of Oman Oil'sTakatuf Leadership Program held


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Oil Company (OOC) recently organised a passing out ceremony of the second batch of candidates from its Leadership Program.


The Takatuf Oman programme was conducted in partnership with the London Business School (LBS).


The programme developed leadership capabilities of 64 future decision-makers to meet the growing business needs of OOC, its group of companies, and other public and private sector organisations.


The passing out ceremony was held at Grand Hyatt Muscat, under the patronage of Sheikh al Fadhal bin Mohammed al Harthi, secretary general, Cabinet of Ministers.


In addition to Takatuf Oman and OOC representatives, the ceremony was attended by government dignitaries and alumni of the first year of the programme.


On the occasion, Rob Goffee, emeritus professor of Organisational Behaviour at LBS delivered a lecture on ‘Authentic Leadership'.


Speaking on the occasion, Khalid al Jashmi, chief executive officer of Takatuf Oman said, ''The Leadership Program raises aspirations and ambitions, while developing the business acumen and aptitude of managers and decision-makers. This tailored programme for the Omani job market aims to accelerate successful career paths and create a sustainable supply of talented individuals geared to unlock future business opportunities.''


The Leadership Program consists of two main streams - The Lead with Impact and The Emerging Leaders, which is based on three main themes.


The first is about development of leadership capabilities to create role-model leaders. The second is building business skill sets that fuel growth and third is about effective implementation of plans for optimum results.
