(MENAFN -Arab News) The Saudi Hollandi Bank (SHB) has launched a training program on retail banking related to small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
The program is aimed to attract and train newly-graduated young Saudis to join retail banking and the promising SME sector, according to a press release
Themes of the training program, which will run for 16 weeks to be organized by the SHB Training Academy, will cover a series of topics concerned with skills related to banking services and finance based on combination of theoretical and practical aspects which will enable the attendees acquaint themselves with work environment and professional criteria and standards governing the administrative and financial missions of the SMEs
HR Director General at SHB Saad Al-Arfaj said the adoption of the training program, which will bring together 19 trainees from young Saudis, comes within the bank?s social responsibility strategy
The program also comes as an extension of its efforts to boost SME for its pivotal role in the national economy, ability to provide job opportunities for young Saudis and enhancement of competitiveness of the national products, he said
Since its inception, the SHB Training Academy has been providing comprehensive and specialized training courses and workshops in a bid to boost the administrative potentialities of SMEs which will, in turn, boost competition among them and enhance sustainable development in the Kingdom, he pointed out.
